Testimony of the birth certificate
I felt that I should post this testimony. I trust that it will remind you of God’s power and faithfulness.
After a year and a half of gathering documents my husband and I thought we were finally ready to go to Johannesburg for my green card interview, (our plan is to move to the States early January.) However, at the interview we were told that I did not have the correct birth certificate to obtain the green card (although it was the one listed on the original checklist they gave us.) So, we had to come back to PE and apply for my unabridged birth certificate. On application they tell you that it will be ready in 8 weeks, however we know of many incidents of this taking months and months (sometimes never even showing up.) Our unabridged marriage certificate which was also supposed to take 8 weeks took 13 and a half months to get to us! It was very easy to feel like all our plans now lay in the hands of Home Affairs (not a great place to be AT ALL!), however the truth is, our plans lie in God’s hands. So, we prayed to our father for my birth certificate to arrive quickly, and, it arrived in 4 days!! This is a miracle and we give God ALL the glory!
